What's the difference between Hospira and other BAC water?
Hospira is often considered the "name brand" of bacteriostatic water and is manufactured by Pfizer. It contains 0.9% benzyl alcohol, which helps inhibit bacterial growth after the vial has been punctured. Many off-brand BAC waters also contain 0.9% benzyl alcohol and can work just as well when sourced from reputable suppliers.
That said, some people find that certain peptides sting less or seem to reconstitute more smoothly with Hospira. Others notice no difference at all. Ultimately, the most important factors are choosing BAC water from a trusted source and following proper storage and handling practices.
When should I start stacking new peptides?
Our bodies are all different; however, the general rule is 2-4 weeks after starting your current new peptide.
What should I do if I'm stalled? (Do NOT immediately increase your dose)
1. First, assess whether your stall is only showing up on the scale. Have you lost inches? Do your clothes fit differently? Are progress photos showing changes? The number on the scale can stay the same while your body composition is improving. You may be losing fat and gaining muscle at the same time, which is often called body recomposition.
2. Second, assess your nutrition. Are you eating enough protein and healthy carbohydrates? Eating too little can contribute to a stall, but so can eating too much. 3. Third, assess your current sleep and stress levels. Poor sleep and chronic stress can increase cortisol, affect hunger and cravings, impact recovery, and contribute to weight loss stalls. Are you sleeping well? Are you under more stress than usual? Sometimes addressing these factors can help get things moving again.
4. Fourth, consider splitting your current dose. Some people find that dividing their weekly dose into two smaller doses taken several days apart helps improve tolerability and provides more consistent effects throughout the week. What do I do if my peptide is cloudy or has floaters after I reconstituted it?
First, don't panic. Some peptides can appear slightly cloudy or have tiny particles immediately after reconstitution. Gently swirl the vial and allow it to sit for a few minutes, NEVER shake it vigorously.
If the solution remains cloudy, contains visible floaters that do not dissolve, changes color, or has an odor, do not use it. Double check that you used the correct amount and type of BAC and that the vial was stored properly. When in doubt, contact the supplier for guidance and consider replacing the vial.
As a general rule, a properly reconstituted peptide should be clear and free of particles before use.
Why does my 10mg vial look like it has the same amount of powder as my 60mg vial?
Think of it like coffee. One mug might contain a teaspoon of instant coffee, while another contains six teaspoons. Once you add hot water, both mugs can look almost identical from the outside. The mug doesn't tell you how much coffee is in it.
Peptide vials work the same way. The size of the white powder "cake" is affected by the freeze-drying process and how the powder settles in the vial. It does not reliably tell you how many milligrams are inside.
The only way to know how much peptide is actually in a vial is through third-party testing / COA results.
